Shanghai Expo 2010 Mascot unveiled
Shanghai unveiled its mascot for the 2010 World Expo on Tuesday evening. The mascot was named Haibao, which literally means "treasure of the world". It is a blue smiling cartoon figure with curly hair and shaped like the Chinese character REN, or human being.

China pavilion for Expo 2010 unveiled
With an estimated cost of 1.5 billion yuan ($200 million), its design features a traditional style red architecture called "oriental crown". Organizers said the project is a significant milestone in the countdown to the 2010 event, signaling the beginning of full-scale construction of the Expo's core projects.

Re-imagining an Aegean city - Izmir prepares to attract the Expo in 2015
"This year, we will prepare our city for EXPO 2015. The foundations will be laid. The rest will happen spontaneously. We will end the transportation problem of İzmir with the construction of the subway. We will enable uninterrupted transportation from the Aliağa area to the airport. Chinese firms using the Expo as platform to impress the world
World Expo 2010 Shanghai will set up a 110,000-square-meter area for 16 corporate pavilions, including nine Chinese enterprises, organizers said yesterday.
Representatives from more than 20 stated-owned enterprises, including PetroChina, Sinopec, China Telecom and State Grid, toured the Expo 2010 site. The tour was led by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.
