The 1939 New York World's Fair song "Dawn of a New Day" was written by George and Ira Gershwin. It just another example of how World's Fairs attract the best minds of its time.
The Gershwing brothers created a "futuruistic" song, with unconventional orchestration and instruments.
Listen to the song at the Paleo-Future blog.
